The Deciding Week (Week 3, 18 - 24 March)
This is the week where the test of our independence starts coming in. Our fellow friends left and went back
to Singapore on 16th March 2019 and our grind officially begins. We felt a feeling that we had never felt
before, after our friends left. I feel that we were a little home-sick after being with more companions and
having so much fun together and that when they left. We felt isolated. However, we told ourselves that we
have another mission that we need to complete which was to complete our internship with flying colors!
That was how we managed to bounce back into grinding mode.
We went around the shopping district near our apartment and found a nice location for lunch.
We were at a nice place near the university and I ordered a turkey steak and spätzle (a local dish in
Germany). I also tried their specials which was the banana beer. As weird as it sounds, it was actually
SUPER good!
We also went to the iconic places within Karlsruhe like the flower garden beside of the palace museum and
had a "photoshoot" there. HAHA.
